Which plants are safe for pets and which plants are toxic/poisonous ?

Summer is almost here and we know many of us are planting flowers now. Here is a great plant information sheet about pet-friendly plants and poisonous/toxic plants. Let’s keep our pets safe around our plants!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR GRANT WRITERS
We were hit so very hard when we took in 300 more cats last year, spending $20,000 each month mostly on veterinary expenses because we strive to save cats who would be euthanized anywhere else. We hold events each month and receive both wishlist and monetary donations throughout the year which does help and we truly appreciate it. Thank you.
Unfortunately it is not enough and we have not received much grants. We are in dire need of grant writers so we can continue to save cats.

Our Hickory Falls Fundraiser Night is on June 8th!
Hickory Falls Family Entertainment Center (110 Hickory Lane in Hanover) has an arcade, go-karts, mini bowling, virtual reality, laser tag, mini golf and an indoor play area. Our Hickory Falls Spirit Night is on June 8th from 5p-9p. Simply purchase your tickets at the door (no need to mention us) and 20% of proceeds will go to our shelter!

We figured to have a fun-filled Hickory Falls night during the summer when school is out so we hope you can bring your whole family!
We will have kittens there in a kitten room too during those times! Heavenly Paws will also accept food, litter, bleach, laundry detergent, etc. at the event if you would like to drop off an item or two. Fosters can use up to 2 cases of canned food per day. This is in addition to the dry food. Laundry is never ending for fosters as playpens/cages are cleaned daily. Any donation is always greatly appreciated! We hope to see you then! Thank You!

Our Kitten Shower is on June 24th!
We are having our Heavenly Paws Kitten Shower at Keystone Kidspace (10 Hamilton Ave., York) on Saturday, June 24th from 12p to 3p! Please stop by to see our kittens then! We will be accepting kitten food, litter and cleaning supplies for the kitten season! For every 3 wishlist items purchased you will receive 1 raffle ticket for our raffle basket.

Our 1st Spaghetti Dinner is on July 16th!

Our 1st Spaghetti Dinner is in 2.5 months on July 16th from 3p to 5:30p at Dover Township Community Building and we still have many tickets available! We highly suggest purchasing your tickets beforehand so we know how much food to cook.
