Heavenly Paws welcomes any opportunity to educate the public about the welfare and ethical treatment of animals. We aim to prevent pet overpopulation of the York County community and provide the resources to better the community. In doing so, we are improving the lives of the animals and the humans who care for them.
If you are looking to help aid the community, please contact Ann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
One program we offer sets us apart from other shelters. We encourage the youth within the community to volunteer with us. We wanted to provide an opportunity for all ages to give back to their community. With parental supervision, those under 18 years of age can volunteer at our satellite stores and even volunteer at our events.
We also reach out to a local senior home once a month. We bring along one of our kitties to provide love and comfort the home’s residents. Research has shown that just petting a cat can lower stress, reduce depression, and even lower blood pressure. Cats can also provide companionship for those who are unable to see their family on a regular basis.
May 2015: Dropped off goody bags at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, PA.
We can’t thank The River Rock Academy Students enough letting us come talk to them about our rescue and for donating so many towels and blankets for us the Holidays! They also helped us come up with some creative names for 2016 kitties 🐾❤ We had a blast meeting them and hearing all about the pets they have at home! We hope to come visit again soon.
